Pictures from a few recent practices

It’s been a while since we’ve updated our blog with pictures of our practice sessions. Here are a few “shots” (pun intended) of some practices that we held over the winter months. Now that the weather is warming up and we have more daylight in the evenings, we hope to be shooting outside very soon, which should make for some nicer pictures.

Enjoy!

Congratulations to our newly certified instructors!

Pictured, from left to right: Matt Cloud (shotgun), Chris Moore (archery), Chet McDonald (rifle), Joseph Smith (archery), Travis Murphy (archery)

Berkeley County 4-H sponsored five 4-H volunteers to attend the WV 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor’s Weekend over the weekend of February 22nd through the 24th. All five of the gentlemen passed with flying colors! Of the five, three of them will be assisting with the tri-county 4-H camps, one is looking into starting a shotgun club, and one will be joining BC4HSS to assist us with the archery program.

Please join us in congratulating these gentlemen on their accomplishment!

BC4HSS Christmas Party!

“You’re gonna put your eye out, kid!”

Thanksgiving has come and gone (but probably not your leftovers) and Christmas is just around the corner. So, in celebration of the wonderful Christmas season, BC4HSS will be holding a Christmas Party in conjunction with the practice scheduled for December 19th.

We’ll start at our usual time (6PM) at the Back Creek Valley Bow and Gun Club. In addition to Christmas festivities and Christmas-themed games, everyone is invited to bring a wrapped gift (< $10) to participate in the Yankee Gift Exchange (aka, Christmas Thief). The adults are invited to participate as well.

Please bring a food item such as cookies, cake, or cider, to share.

We look forward to seeing you there!
